Olivia is doing great! Eating every 2-3 hours and sleeping 3-4 hours at a time on a good night. :-)
Zoey is a big little helper! She's been a little more needy than usual, which can make keeping both girls happy and satisfied a little difficult, but she's getting over a cold.
All in all I think we are adjusting ok. Easing into it anyways. We still have lots of help with Josh's parents here.

Already a week old
I can't believe Olivia is already a week old (yesterday). She is doing great. Up about every 3 hours during the night and does good with wake time during the day (although today she's been sleeping a lot...I may be in for a rough night).
Zoey has not shown any jealousy but has instead been really sweet toward her sister. She eats to hold her (for a few seconds) and give her kiss goodnight. So far so good!

First night home
First night home started out a bit rough... Olivia ate around 10pm and went down for about 45 minutes in her crib. She stirred a lot from then until 1:30 (with a feeding again around 12:45). We tried holding her a few times and she seemed to relax then. We thought maybe we'd try putting her in the saucer in our room. That she seemed to take to...She slept from 2am to about 5am and that was just a little fusiness and stirring (didn't want to eat). She woke around 6:15 for a feeding then stirred around 9am. So, we now know she wants to feel cozy so today we're trying her out in her crib when she's tired (if anything she hopefully will be more awake during the day and be tired at night :) It's all trial and error at this point... :)
First coulple nights
First couple nights (at the hospital) went just fine. Olivia ate around 11pm Thursday night and again at 1:30am then not again until about 8am. We did have the nurses take her so I could rest. Mom was so gracious again to stay with me.
The second night she ate around 9:30pm then again around 1am, 4am and 8:30am. A lot better nights rest for me having my own pillow this time and coming down from the whirlwind of excitement the day before.

Birth of Olivia Morgan Stroh
Due February 10th, it was Thursday, February 7th. Woke up like any normal day, with a few exceptions. Noticed a little leakage, more than normal, and was feeling a bit naseous. Waited until I got to work and had something to eat and still just not feeling not right (and the leakage was still occurring). Called the Dr. to see if I could get in so they could just check. Go to Dr. around 10:45 and tests were positive for amniotic fluid (also about 6-7 cm, was 6 cm the day before and 90% effaced at my checkup). They sent me over to the hospital right then. We got situated and saw the Dr. around 12:30. I wass 8cm at this point. (have felt NO contractions at all) Around 2pm or so they gave me my epidural. Around this time my brother and sister-in-law had arrived.
Around 3pm the Dr. checked me again, still 8cm but at this time he officially broke my water. They started me on pitocin shortly after and that kicked everything into full gear. I felt a couple contractions this whole time and that's because I was laying on my left side and so the epidural wasn't taking as much affect on my right side but once I rolled over it started to even out. Shortly after 4 they prepped me for delivery (my parents had JUST arrived, but I hadn't seen them yet) and Olivia was born with a few pushes at 4:36pm. 18.5 inches long weighing 7lbs 13oz. I was so happy to be able to see her (had my contacts in whereas I didn't with Zoey) and feel relaxed. TOTALLY different birth than with Zoey where I felt EVERYTHING (having contractions for 2-3 hours and getting to the hospital being 10cm already so NO epidural).
We are so glad Olivia is here and so excited to begin the next chapter of our lives. So far we think she resembles Zoey a lot...who resembles Josh of course. I just carry them. :) My parents are here right now and we're looking forward to Olivia meeting her other grandparents in a coulple weeks!!
